About the De Boer-van Staveren Fund
The De Boer-van Staveren Fund was established by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts & Sciences (KNAW) in 2023 and forms part of the Academy’s Medical Sciences Fund. Its assets consist of the estate of Dr Wilhelmus P.H. de Boer (Haarlem 1950 – Rijswijk 2021). Dr De Boer’s wish was for the KNAW to set up a fund with his estate for medical research, preferably in the field of autoimmune diseases, and to financially support promising, young researchers and new research concepts.
Description
The De Boer-van Staveren Fund enables researchers at an early stage of their careers to set up or develop innovative basic research on autoimmune diseases.
