Violinist Janine Jansen (born 1978) has been at the pinnacle of the international music scene for many years.
She has worked with almost all of the famous conductors of our day (Gergiev, Haitink, Mehta, Maazel, Jansons) and many globally renowned orchestras, including the Berliner Philharmoniker, the New York Philharmonic and the Concertgebouw Orchestra, with which she has a special relationship.
For more than a decade, Jansen has organised her own Chamber Music Festival in Utrecht and often plays chamber music herself. She has a recording contract with Decca, and her recordings are very successful.
To mark the release of her album of Bach concertos and sonatas, she will be going on two major European tours this season.
Jansen has won the Nederlandse Muziekprijs (2003), the Concertgebouw Prijs (2012), and numerous foreign prizes.
